- Course Reserves
Can I borrow course reserves?
Course reserves cannot be borrowed. To increase the opportunity for more people to use them, course reserves are kept in the Information Commons Area on the 2nd floor and for library use only.
Where can I search for course reserves ?
There are two ways to search for course reserves in the library system :
Do I need to request the same course reserves from last semester ?
Yes. Course reserves are kept for a semester and are removed after the semester is over. If you hope to continue using these materials, please request again.
Do course reserves have to be books ?
Course reserves can be in different forms such as e-book, audiovisual materials, periodical articles, theses/dissertations, and newspapers. Professors can also provide their own handouts and the library will return the materials in a week after the semester is over.
When do I request course reserves ?
Usually starting from June/December till two weeks after classes begin for convenience. However, professors can also request additional course reserves during the semester.
Do course reserves have to be in the library collection ?
Not necessarily. However, please choose from the library collection first due to time concerns. Please fill out an application form as soon as possible if the requested course reserves are not in the library collection so they will be purchased.
