Article 1 To assist the library in fully realizing its functions, ensure the effective use of its resources, and support teaching, research, and learning, the “Chung Yuan Christian University Chang Ching Yu Memorial Library Committee” (hereafter referred to as “the Committee”) is hereby established.
Article 2 The Committee shall have 11 to 15 members appointed by the University President for a one-year term. Each college elects one member; however, colleges with fewer than five academic units may opt out of recommending a representative. Additional members, including one undergraduate student and one graduate student, are nominated by the Library Director, who serves as an ex-officio member and convener.
Article 3 The duties of the Committee are as follows:
- Discuss the library’s development direction and policies;
- Review rules and methods related to library services;
- Evaluate the scope of collections and acquisition policies;
- Consider major reforms and innovations for the library;
- Address other issues related to library collections and services.
Article 4 The Committee shall meet once per semester, with additional meetings convened as needed.
Article 5 A quorum is achieved when more than half of the Committee members are present, and resolutions require a majority vote of those in attendance.
Article 6 The Committee invites relevant individuals to attend meetings as needed.
Article 7 This guideline, once approved by the Administrative Meeting, shall be submitted to the University President for promulgation and implementation. The same procedure applies to any amendments.
